"November 16, 1974. A message in binary code is sent from the Arecibo radio telescope toward the globular cluster of Hercules (M13), twenty-five thousand light-years away. The goal of the mission is to develop a new communicative model to transmit to extraterrestrial entities some essential elements of the planet.
More than fifty years later, a group of young people subdued by the limits that language imposes, eager to cross its gates and aware that deconstructing, reconstructing, and evolving are the only keys that lead to such an escape, decide to relaunch the Arecibo mission.
From June 7 to June 22, 2025, twenty posters are on display and placed in a similar setting that sees Lugano’s Enderlin Tower as a launching tower, the symbol of a cause as lost as it is essential: communicate with the other."

"An evanescent figure stands out against a white background.
The image’s apparent simplicity, however, retains a density of content that verges on the overwhelming. As one approaches the poster, a block of text emerges that, through its very composition, shapes a nearly unreadable narrative. It is the ambitious, and inevitably fragmentary, tale of the history of the planet and of humanity: from the beginning, to the present, and beyond. The text is so dense it becomes a kind of noise; yet, as one moves away again, the narrative dissolves into a silent image, scattered through space.
Is it a tree bearing witness to a distant life? The hum of all humanity? The sound wave of a fallen cypress in a corner of the cosmos? The silhouette of a spacecraft in exploration? The tale ends with a statement that casts doubt on the origin of the text: is it the work of a human or of artificial intelligence?
Amid this vast uncertainty, only one certainty remains: that someone, human or otherwise, might one day decipher the message."

The short film "Piazzale d'Italia" by Enea Zucchetti will be part of the group exhibition "SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT" at CACY (Centre d'Art Contemporain Yverdon-les-Bains).
The exhibition is curated by Rolando Bassetti, the director of CACY.
The exhibition will be on view between September 22 and December 22. The opening is scheduled for Saturday, September 21.

"The exhibition brings together the work of 11 artists from different generations, taking a contemporary and critical look at the 1980s, an often fantasised but ambivalent and contradictory era that sounded the death knell for the flamboyant hedonism that had characterised the Thirty Glorious. Drawing on this historical perspective, the paintings, collages, installations, photographs, videos, performances and music highlight both aesthetic and societal reflections."

They are Nolitha Refilwe Mkulisi (South Africa/Germany) – also the recipient of the Dopodomani Award (CHF 3,000) – with her project All Is in Order, Timoteus Anggawan Kusno (Indonesia) with his Nest for the Wind, and Enea Zucchetti (Switzerland) – the Ticino-based filmmaker whose L'azzuro del cielo played in the Pardi di Domani - Concorso Nazionale 2019 – with his project I sogni degli animali (After Lions)."
